ADM Protexin Wins Big at Prestigous Nutraingredients Awards Ceremony
ADM Protexin is delighted to share the exciting news of two more award wins to add to the Bio-Kult accolade of awards. This week, Nutraingredients, the key news source for the functional food & beverage and dietary supplement industries hosted their annual awards ceremony.
Bio-Kult Migréa picked up the top spot and was awarded 'Probiotic of the Year'. Speaking of Bio-Kult Migréa, the judges described the live bacteria supplement as, “A truly innovative market ready probiotic based natural solution.” The judges continued “They also felt it stood out for its solid science and careful design to facilitate daily administration.”
The finale of the ceremony was announcing the Editor’s Award for Functional Foods Innovation. ADM Protexin are thrilled to have been named as the winner of this category with our unique bacteria strain Bacillus subtilis PXN 21. When announcing the win the judges acknowledged the most recent trial results which saw B. subtilis not only prevents the build-up of proteins associated with Parkinson’s’ disease but also break down the formation of this protein. The judges were “impressed with the science behind this ingredient efficacy with an identified molecule responsible for the effect and a clear understanding of the mechanism of action, which is particularly difficult when working with probiotic ingredients”.
The excitement for our parent company, ADM didn’t end there, ADM Biopolis scooped the award for Ingredient of the Year for Weight Management, with their bacteria strain BPL1.
The awards saw over 100 entries from companies around the world enter hoping to claim victory in these prestigious awards. The awards, now in their 6th year, reward true innovation and cutting edge research in healthy foods, supplements and nutrition.
